Her Story
Alexandria Benford is a Baltimore-born actor, voice artist, and storyteller based in New York City.
Her passion for performance began at age 10 when she made her stage debut in A Wonderful Life at Baltimore's Arena Players, the same theater where she spent countless nights watching her mother perform. That experience sparked a lifelong love of storytelling and set her on the path to a career in the arts.
Alexandria went on to study theater at the George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology, training in Shakespeare, improvisation, stage combat, and performance technique. She later earned dual degrees in Italian and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park.
After moving to New York City in 2015, Alexandria began performing professionally, including touring throughout the East Coast in stage productions. Today, her work spans film, television, commercial, voice-over, and live performance.
When she's not acting, Alexandria can usually be found traveling, taking street photographs, creating visual content, cooking, experimenting with homemade skincare recipes or confidently singing karaoke songs she only half knows the words to.

“[Seasick] is an LGBTQ story about the struggles that come with a teenager knowing they’re gay, but not yet out. Everyone’s journey and process is different, and sometimes, it’s not always easy to navigate. Especially for Sadie, who has only told her best friend about her sexuality. What begins as a normal day quickly turns to chaos when she accidentally sends a love confessing text to Jess, her shift captain and crush. Now, she must decide how to deal with the message that Jess will inevitably read, all while balancing her deckhand duties. The trip across the bay ensues, and Sadie’s internal struggles are rampant as she copes with the fact that she may have outed herself before she is ready.”
